01  Pratt Institute Lecture Series

Branding, poster and programming design for a moderated discussion between NYC independent publishers Secret Riso Club and 8-ball Community. They were invited to talk about their design practice, printing process and the socio-political culture of publishing.

Posters were both printed and 3d animated for digital screens. Branding
was developed with a team of peers and faculty, consisting of a sticker-based logo + “smiley face” system. Type for the poster was hand illustrated; each letter was drawn considering and including a custom counter form outline.

02  SoIL

Packaging design for a CSA and farm-to-table startup.
03 COP 31 (Mock)

Branding for the upcoming 31st United Nations Climate Change Conference.

The design system was made with variability in mind, for the wide range of needs for a large conference, from wayfinding, badges, and banners to program guides. Thus, the variable font ‘Générale Station’ (by Ariel Martin Peréz) is the display, with extended options used for tonal emphasis. Arial Rounded MT Bold is the bodycopy.

Graphics consist of flexboxes in 4 colors, along with black and white fills/outlines. They can be stretched into text/number containers, frames, bullet points, etc.

There are also three illustrative elements: the UNFCCC logo, a 3D geoid map of the earth and flat map (taken from open source databases).
