An installation exploring how places of refuge are created
“in-between” past and present moments (derived from the ideas of “memoria” and the bardo state).
The feeling of this liminal refuge is created here with a series of moving projections, with both illustrative and sound components. To create the setting for the projection, the illustrations were printed on various translucent substrates and hung across the room in multiple layers.
The viewer is able to stand within and behind the hanging components, becoming another moving setting for the projection.
